The Trenton High School Marching Band Invitational is an annual event that brings together some of the finest marching bands from across the region to compete and showcase their musical and visual performances. Marching bands from various high schools will perform exciting field shows, combining music, choreography, and visual effects in a display of skill, creativity, and teamwork. This year’s event promises to be a thrilling day of music, entertainment, and community spirit!

The Arthurs Middle School 7th & 8th Grade Concert Bands will be performing the Star Spangled Banner as part of the Opening Ceremony.

Arthurs Schedule
1:30pm – 7th & 8th Grade students report to Trenton Football Stadium.
2:00pm – Star-Spangled Banner performance.
*Students are to wear jeans or shorts and a Navy Blue shirt.

Complete Invitational Performance Schedule and Details
• 1:30 PM: Gates Open
• 2:00 PM: Opening Ceremony – Featuring the 7th & 8th Grade Concert Bands performing The Star-Spangled Banner
• 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM: High School Marching Band Performances
• 5:30 PM: Awards Ceremony

Each participating marching band will perform a carefully crafted field show, complete with music, marching formations, color guard routines, and props. A panel of experienced judges will evaluate each band’s performance based on several criteria, including musical quality, visual design, marching precision, and overall effect.

Food and Concessions
Throughout the day, a variety of food and beverage options will be available at the concession stands. Come hungry and enjoy everything from snacks to full meals, provided by our Trenton Band Boosters. All proceeds from concessions go directly toward supporting music programs in our community!

Arthurs students will need the proper lyre and/or folio for this performance.

Arthurs students will be dismissed immediately after our performance but are invited to attend the Marching Band Invitational to hear and see some of the best High School Marching Bands from all across the State of Michigan!

Recommended LYRE and FOLIO for each instrument - these can be purchased at any music store:

Folio = basically a marching flip folder that holds your music.

Flute = Flutist's Friend Flute players do not need a lyre as this will not attach to your instrument but will strap on your arm.

Clarinet = Clarinet Lyre and Folio Clarinet players attach this lyre to the middle ring between the upper and lower portions of the instrument.

Saxophones = Sax Lyre and Folio Saxophone players will attach this lyre to the holder just below the neck of the instrument.

Trumpet and Trombone = Clip-On Folio
Trumpet and Trombone players can use this clip-on folio without a lyre - it attaches right on the bell of the instrument.
